Are you ready to prioritize your happiness?
Therapy is a true gift to yourself in a culture that does not prioritize (or even seem to value) rest, reflection, pauses, and deep emotional healing.
There are no prizes or accolades for investing in yourself, for deciding - “You know what, I know in my bones I could be happier. I know in my bones I am not at peace with this life.” And boldly asking for more - for happiness, for mental peace, for experiences of being genuinely seen and understood.
There are many external barriers to going on this sort of inner journey, but the prize of giving yourself what you actually need, and not giving up until you are truly taken care of, is unfathomably rewarding…to me, that’s the meaning of life. To be so deeply at peace with yourself and your purpose, that you are anchored in hope and gratitude no matter what mood or phase you are going through.
You are not always “feeling happy,” but when people ask how you’re doing, you say “good!” and you actually mean it.
Questions to consider:
Are you happy?
What is something you need, that you are currently not receiving?
Do you feel there is more for you in this life, but you aren’t sure how to get it?
Notice the answers that come up with curiosity, non-judgment, and as much self-compassion as you can muster.
